Walking the streets of Valparaiso, Chile with my little brother Alex a couple years ago, I noticed the above sculpture, placed inconspicuously in a little yard in a colorful neighborhood.
The message clear well before I got the translation: Turn off your television…live your life!
I think about it often. I didn’t get a photo at the time, but this little installation has quite a following online so finding a photo wasn’t difficult. In fact, there are better photos out there, although with all rights reserved.

You know, I have no idea. I remember it being setup in a tiny front yard in a small, colorful house in Valparaiso. In other words, in a very informal setting. No attribution that I could see. But it obviously really stuck with me.
Hi, it’s kind of late now, but I hope you can get to read this; I’ll give you a little bit of information about this. Nobody owns it, the autor doesn’t care about making all of those legal procediments and making money out of this, he’s just proud by the fact of creating such a master piece
